I agree, it's a real lonely place to be when you don't have someone to come home to to share your thoughts with, laugh and enjoy being with but you know what Stuart you've got some friends out there who will stand by you through thick and thin. Enjoy your friends hun, concentrate on just being a Dad and try (i no its difficult) to enjoy your work and get into some sort of routine. The rest will come along when you're least expecting it, that special lady. It will happen, there's somebody for everybody out there, don't try and rush it. You need a hobby aswell Stuart, something that will allow you to meet new people, make new friends and experience new things. You enjoy walking, i know that, get yourself on the internet and find out where your nearest rambling club is, no better way to clear your head than to be out in the fresh air and meet new people along the way. They're not all old wrinklies who do that you know, i used to do it (no sarcastic comments!!!). Take a step back Stuart, take a deep breath and most of all dont try and PLAN your future, leave it to fete babe. Hope this all makes sense to you.
